Back in 2004, my friend Joel Marks had asked me to be a guest on his show called The Professors. The topic was "What is feminism?"..go figure.   I loved being on the air and decided to ask for a slot of my own.  I've been on the air annoying conservatives and liberals ever since. As you can probably tell, I'm not very fond of patriarchy, capitalism, racism, sexism, abelism, (etc) as well as Democrats, Republicans, racists, people who wave flags, Hugh Hefner, Larry Flynt, the men who created Hooters,  the women who love them..... and the list goes on. I love my parakeet Lil Jerry Seinfeld to death.  I'm obviously a human rights activist but haven't yet labeled myself politically. I guess it's safe to say that I currently fall into the category of "Radical femininst" but my my ideas and attitudes are forever evolving based on what I read, who I interview, etc. As with most kids, I was pushed into college way too early and received a B.A. in Psychology (I'm still nuts).  I have always been interested in Women's Studies but was told that career options were limited (false). Since we are all forced to choose between wage labor and starvation, I received an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (waste of time).  I worked in the field of Human Resources at playgrounds for sexual harassment and discrimination like United Parcel Service and Jacobs Vehicle Systems. After being treated like a piece of meat/second class citizen, and crying in the bathroom on my lunch breaks, I decided to quit my well paid corporate job  to pursue a Master's in Women's Studies at Southern Connecticut State University. The degree in Women's Studies was a life changing experience.  I have been a human rights activist ever since publishing various op-ed pieces to local newspapers (read them under the Literature tab) speaking at conferences and debates, participating in local protests, and of course, hosting my radio show.   I'm always looking for input and feedback regarding the show and/or just an e-mail to let me know that you are listening!

Sincerely,

Jackie Arsenuk
